Yahoo web hosting are probably the biggest brand in the hosting world (Only because Google is not involved in web hosting)and this is a big attraction to hosting newcomers as they have a well known name, but this doesn't always mean you will get the best service or the best value for money. Yahoo are better known for their search engine technology and email accounts but they also offer small business web hosting solutions too.

A bonus of going with Yahoo is that they give all their hosting customers bonus PPC advertising credits. Yahoo hosting plans now come with unlimited transfer and space as they have followed their competition to avoid being left behind.

Summary:

As you would expect Yahoo does offer a great web hosting solution, and it's hard to fault their control panel and reliability. Overall you are paying a premium price for Yahoo and we think this is largely due to their brand rather than the advanced features, but with that being said we still recommend yahoo as a top web host, just value for money lets them down.

I have just updated my account with Yahoo as I have had a very good first year with their webhosting service. This was a very easy process and I was very pleased to find no nasty surprises in doing so. I just got the same deal for the same length of time which is just fine by me. The service itself is very reliable and I have not experienced any unacceptable periods of downtime and any little bugs that came up were very hastily dealt with by the tech support teams. The service has been very easy to use and more than enough for my needs, which has really justified the slightly higher price I have paid. Definitely worth the money though!

Yahoo provide a really reliable webhost service that can easily be used by anyone. Though I've been working with websites for some time now, I would imagine that anyone would be able to get to grips with the interface really quickly and be able to get a website up and running to a fairly similar standard as someone with a lot of experience. As well as this, my website has experienced next to no downtime in the time I've had it running on the Yahoo servers and I have also been impressed with the tech support's responses to any times there have been a problem. Overall, a really trustworthy service and great for beginners, albeit a little more pricey than some other options out there.

I like to stay with major brands when I'm looking at something that is offered by a wide range of providers and there are few better known in this business than Yahoo! The package for basic personal hosting is not the cheapest on the market but it's by no means the most expensive, and the experience that the company has in the industry must go some way to ensuring they provide a great service. I've found it to be very good so far with no down time and a whole range of accessories that have been very useful, and see no reason to look elsewhere.

I have to admit I went for Yahoo because I knew the name after all, everybody does – and had read some mixed reviews, too, but all I've had is excellent service, a first class set up that was easy to use and brilliant technical support that is handles in a quick and efficient manner. It's been the start of what I believe is going to be a long and fruitful relationship between me and Yahoo, and while I am becoming very familiar with people telling me I'm paying more than I should the difference is a couple of dollars here and there, and for that I get the peace of mind of a major industry giant handling my hosting. That's worth paying for in my book!

Being experienced in the art of building websites myself and many others aspects of IT, I have always been wary of using the cheaper hosting companies. However, it is with great surprise that I find myself recommending one to you; I turned to Yahoo when a client of mine needed a quick fix solution, a simple set up at a rock bottom price, and I've been astounded by the level of service and expertise that is forthcoming. How they do it at the price I don't know, but I simply had to post this review for others to see.
