How To Search For Hosting Plans

The FindMyHosting.com search feature is both powerful and easy to use.

You have three ways to search hosting plans on FindMyHosting.com. The Simple Search includes hosting plan options that are most commonly used. For additional search options, click on More Search Options and you can perform a more advanced search including every plan option available in our database. Not sure where to start? check out the 'Search Guides'. Search guides take out some of the guess work and provides you with search requests pre-filled out to meet general hosting needs such as small business hosting, or personal web sites. Remember these are just a guide.

The FindMyHosting.com home page presents you with the simple search box. With this search box you select the features you need. Then hit Get Results! to get your search result listing - lowest price first.

In this example the search is for a hosting plan that is no more than 50 $/month (don't care about a setup fee) at least 50MB of disk space, at least 2 GB of data transfer and at least 20 email accounts. The plans that will be listed in the search results will all meet these requirements at a minimum, some may offer much more. Use the information on the detail pages, and side by side comparisons using the stored plans feature to make your choices.

You can switch to a more detailed search box by clicking on the More Search Options tab. This will expand the search box and give you a lot more search options to choose from. The picture below shows the bottom part of the expanded search box.

Any item that is not selected in the search is ignored and is not a factor in the search.

How Search Results are Returned

When you do a search, FindMyHosting.com compares your minimum requirements to all the hosting plans in our database. Only plans that meet the search requirements will be returned as potential plans for you evaluate.

The search is totally unbiased. No host can ever pay to be listed higher in the search results than another host. The order of the hosting plans listed in the search results follows these rules

• Lowest price first to highest price last.
• If prices are the same between 2 or more plans that meet the search requirements, then a Hosting Assured host will be returned before a non Hosting Assured host
• If 2 or more hosts are still equal then the host with the better Hosting Assured status will be returned first (more validated praise comments and no complaints)
